Carolinas Public Sector Leader - EY
Keith has more than 25 years of experience delivering innovative and strategic solutions to the public sector by providing progressive experience in practice leadership, operations management, IT solution management, service delivery, and leadership. Keith currently serves as the EY Public Sector Leader for North Carolina and South Carolina.
Keith recently served as the State Chief Information Officer (and the first Cabinet Secretary) for the North Carolina Department of Information Technology (NC DIT) leading all technology solutions for the State’s agencies and citizens; and directing organizational operations and change management to modernize how the agency supported the core business needs across the State. As part of this role, Keith was responsible for the consolidation of the State’s IT assets (people, process and technology).
Prior to his appointment as State CIO, Keith was named to lead the Statewide IT Division (SID) as Deputy State CIO. In this role, Keith was in charge of key IT functions across the enterprise, including procurement, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, and strategic planning. He also provided strategic direction and oversight of statewide initiatives such as Digital Services, the Enterprise Project Management Office, the Government Data Analytics Center, and the Innovation Center.
Keith has also served as the Chief Information Officer for the State’s Natural and Economic Resources (DENR), which includes the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, and the Department of Commerce.
Prior to public service, Keith held roles at marquee IT companies delivering solutions to the public sector.
