Director and Distinguished Engineer - IBM
Mr. Murali Vridhachalam is a Director and Distinguished Engineer in the IBM Chief Analytics Office. He is an Open Group certified Distinguished Architect. He is currently responsible to enable IBM to be a Cognitive Enterprise in collaboration with the various business units. He is also responsible for driving Co-creation on the Cognitive Enterprise Data Platform with the various business units.
In his previous role, Murali served as Director of Engineering in the Enterprise Services organization and was responsible for the technical strategy for the Systems of Engagement in the IBM Quote-to-Cash process. Murali was responsible for the development and deployment of a Cognitive Quote-to-Cash system in a hybrid cloud that was deployed globally to all IBM brands. In this role, Murali successfully demonstrated the adoption of hybrid Cloud, Micro-services architecture, and industry leading Agile and Continuous Delivery (DevOps) practices.
Murali has been with IBM since 1994. He has held several technical and management roles in IBM Latin American Operations, IBM Research, IBM Finance IT, CIO Innovation, ERP deployment and Integrated Supply Chain organizations. He led several enterprise initiatives including one of the largest Software-as-a-Service development and deployments within IBM. He has partnered, collaborated or show cased his work with several world-class organizations such as Phillips Lighting, The Nature Conservancy, National Geographic Society, ESRI Inc., New York Hall of Science, University of Wisconsin, MetLife, Best Buy, Gartner, Wells Fargo, SalesForce.com, UBMatrix, Rivet Software, Edgar Online and Mercedes Benz USA.
Murali holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
