Vice President, IT Infrastructure and Operations - Ahold Delhaize Retail Business Services
As Vice President of IT Infrastructure and Operations, Odile Ducatez develops and leads IT integration strategy in support of the Ahold Delhaize merger resulting in IT synergy savings. She’s building and leading a flexible and adaptable high-performance organization. This includes developing strategy and driving execution of technology initiatives, evaluating current technology systems to deliver business value aligned to the strategy. In her role, Ducatez oversees teams for Platform Engineering, IT Operations, End User Services, Governance and Performance Management and Vendor Management to ensure they are operating effectively within information technology and their respective functional organizations. In addition to her IT responsibilities, Odile also serves as the Executive Sponsor to the Women’s Business Resource Group at Delhaize America.
Prior to assuming this role, Ducatez served as Vice President, Office of the CIO, Vice President of Information Technology infrastructure and Strategy for Europe and Asia for Delhaize Group. She has also overseen the entire Delhaize Belgium Information Technology department.
A veteran of the grocery industry, Ducatez joined the company in Delhaize Belgium’s information technology department in 1997 as a system engineer. From there, she held positions of increasing responsibility within information technology and led the first European shared services for infrastructure. In 2008, she joined the Belgium management group as senior manager, then director of technology architecture and services.
Ducatez, who is of French nationality, holds a master’s degree in engineering (communications and information technologies) from TELECOM LILLE 1 in France and also a business coaching certificate from NC State. She is fluent in French and English, as well as basic Dutch. She and her husband have three children and currently reside in Concord, N.C. Outside of the office; she’s also a business coach and she enjoys reading, hiking and her favorite activity, Pilates.
